About the Company
Ascent Group Co., Ltd builds its business around a narrow, deep portfolio of oxygenated solvents — and Celanese-brand ethyl acetate sits at the centre of it.
Our commercial and technical teams work on one product family: acetate esters for coatings, inks, adhesives, pharmaceutical processing and food applications. Because the portfolio is focused, every process we operate — from purchase planning to final loading — is designed for a fast-evaporating, highly flammable, water-sensitive solvent rather than adapted from general chemical handling.
Celanese ethyl acetate is produced within an integrated acetyls chain, where acetic acid and ethanol feedstock are controlled upstream of the esterification step. For the formulator this shows up in the parameters that decide whether a batch behaves as expected: assay, water content, acidity as acetic acid and colour. We hold material in dedicated stainless steel and coated-steel storage, load through lines reserved for acetate esters, and retain a sample from every lot we ship, so a delivered drum can always be traced back to its production batch.
Every shipment leaves with the documents a coatings plant, a toll blender or a pharmaceutical processor needs: a batch certificate of analysis, a 16-section GHS safety data sheet, a packing list, a certificate of origin and — for dangerous goods — a correctly declared transport document. Documentation is prepared for the destination market, and we confirm packaging, labelling and language requirements before the order is released.
The Product
Ethyl acetate (ethyl ethanoate, CAS 141-78-6) is a low-boiling, fast-evaporating ester solvent with a mild, fruity odour. It dissolves nitrocellulose, acrylic, alkyd and polyurethane resins, is miscible with most organic solvents, and is only slightly soluble in water — which is why it carries so much of the load in coatings, inks, adhesives and extraction processes.

Where It Works
Eight process areas where Celanese ethyl acetate earns its place in the formulation.
Nitrocellulose lacquers, polyurethane and 2K wood coatings, industrial primers. Fast, even dryness with good film flow and strong solvency for hard resins.
Gravure, flexographic and screen inks. A predictable evaporation profile keeps viscosity stable on high-speed presses and limits residual solvent in the dried film.
Solvent-based contact and laminating adhesives, footwear and construction adhesives, where fast green strength and clean tack matter.
Extraction, crystallisation and coating duties. A comparatively favourable toxicological profile and easy removal by distillation simplify solvent recovery.
Process solvent for extraction and a carrier in flavour formulations, supplied against an agreed food-grade specification where local rules permit.
Removal of oils, greases, flux and residue from metal parts and printed circuit assemblies, with good substrate compatibility.
Dilution of polyurethane laminating adhesives for film lines, where controlled wetting and fast solvent release decide line speed.
Carrier for formulations and reaction medium for syntheses that need an aprotic, water-tolerant ester solvent.
Quality
Solvent quality is settled in parts per thousand and parts per million — so every lot is tested before it is released.

Why Us
A solvent is a commodity until the batch fails. These are the things that keep it from failing.
Celanese material comes out of an integrated acetic acid and ethanol chain, not from merchant spot blending — so the front end of the process is controlled, not assumed.
Tight assay, water and acidity ranges hold from drum to drum, which keeps viscosity, drying time and pot life where your datasheet says they should be.
180 kg drums, 1 000 L IBCs, ISO tanks and flexitanks, and mixed formats within a single order when part of your volume goes to the line and part to the tank farm.
Correct classification, marking and paperwork for sea and road freight, prepared before the container is booked rather than after it is loaded.
Guidance on evaporation profiles, co-solvent selection, drying behaviour and storage, from people who work with esters every day.
A named account contact, quotations typically within one business day, and clear lead times before you commit a production slot.
Packaging & Logistics
From a single pallet of drums to a dedicated ISO tank — the same material, the same documentation.
FAQ
Industrial grade is ≥99.5% assay with water ≤0.10% and acidity ≤0.005%. High-purity grade is ≥99.9% with water ≤0.05% and lower residue — specified for urethane systems, electronics cleaning and moisture-sensitive reactions.
Yes. We supply Celanese ethyl acetate with the production batch reference on the certificate of analysis, and we retain a sample from every lot shipped so the delivery can be traced back to its batch.
From one pallet of 180 kg drums for trial and sample volumes, up to full ISO tank shipments. Tell us your monthly consumption and we will propose the format that keeps handling cost down.
200 L steel drums (180 kg), 1 000 L IBCs, ISO tank containers and 20′ flexitanks. Formats can be combined within one order.
In a cool, well-ventilated, fire-safe area away from ignition sources and oxidisers, in tightly closed containers, with bonding and earthing during transfer. The flash point is −4 °C closed cup and the vapour is heavier than air.
Yes. ISO tanks typically carry 18–21 MT and 20′ flexitanks 18–22 MT, both suitable for high-volume users with pump and storage capacity at the receiving end.
A batch certificate of analysis, a 16-section GHS safety data sheet, a packing list, a certificate of origin and, for dangerous goods, a declared transport document. Destination-specific labelling and language requirements are confirmed before dispatch.
Yes, against an agreed specification for flavour, fragrance and extraction duties where destination-market rules permit. Send us the target specification and the end use so we can confirm the grade.
